A Wedding and Off-site Venue Near Trakai: What to Expect at Prie Trakų

Spacious hall with long tables and a wood stove — ready for a celebration

Choosing a place for a wedding or a team off-site usually comes down to the same criteria — everyone under one roof, enough space for the programme, and a reasonable trip from Vilnius. Prie Trakų Estate in Petkėniškės ticks all three: three guesthouses sleeping up to 60, a big hall with a fireplace, saunas, outdoor amenities — and just 35 minutes from central Vilnius.

The spaces

  • Three guesthouses, each with four bedrooms and a private sauna.
  • Central hall (~140 m²) with fireplace, long tables and a kitchen — comfortable for a 60-person dinner, a wedding reception or a seminar.
  • Covered terrace with outdoor tables — great for aperitifs or morning coffee.
  • Sports ground for team games; paintball field for an adrenaline break.

For weddings

  • Whole-estate booking — the property is yours and your guests' private space from Friday to Sunday.
  • Outdoor ceremony — by the pond or on the meadow facing the hills, with a fall-back plan indoors.
  • AV equipment — microphone, projector and screen already in the hall.
  • Dinner layout — we provide the tables or your caterer brings them.
  • Live music / DJ setup — power and acoustics ready in the hall.

Note: large events are always arranged individually. Write to us at least three months ahead of your target date.

For team off-sites

  • Up to 40 participants comfortably in the central hall with U-shape seating.
  • Breaks — outdoor area, covered terrace, sports ground.
  • Team-building options — paintball, horse riding, educational sessions (folklore, herbalist storytelling).
  • Everyone stays on site — no shuttle to a hotel, the team stays together.

FAQ

How many people does the estate fit?

Up to 60 guests overnight across the three houses; the central hall comfortably seats 60–70 for dinner. Day events up to 100.

Is the estate only rented for large events?

No. For smaller groups (up to 20) we rent out a single guesthouse. The full estate is reserved for events by arrangement.

How far in advance should we book?

Summer and autumn dates go 6–12 months ahead. Winter — two to four months. Earlier is always safer.

Can we bring our own caterer?

Yes. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridges, prep space and service areas.

Is the estate suitable for an outdoor wedding ceremony?

Yes. The pond shore and the meadow are both good ceremony spots, with an indoor backup in the hall.

Our retreat sits among rolling meadows, forests and lakes — made for anyone worn out by city noise. The more natural and close to nature, the better. You'll find three villas on the estate, and the first one is yours: a spacious modern living area with a dining table and fireplace, a stylish fully-equipped kitchen, and four bedrooms — three with double beds and one with two large bunk beds that the younger guests love (and adults don't mind). A bathroom with shower is right alongside, and a sauna can be booked as an extra. When you arrive you'll likely meet me first — I'm Artūras, the owner. I built this place with my own hands, so I know every corner and I'm happy to show you around and suggest what to see or do nearby. Petkėniškės village sits in one of the most beautiful corners of the Lithuanian countryside — Trakai Castle is close by, and you can easily plan a cycling, horseback or kayaking trip. And if you'd rather stay on the estate, the sports ground is ready for volleyball, basketball or tennis.
